The purpose of Project Shaktipat is to provide a suite of tools for building next generation business processes that go far beyond what current technologies such as JEE / BEPL have to offer. There are currently two major sub-projects:
Saraswati Business Process Engine (BPE) Core component that provides advanced facilities for key concepts such as business activities (aka business processes) and business objects.
Lakshmi Order Management Engine (OME) Building on Saraswati, Lakshmi introduces the order management process which serves as the basis for all enterprise business processes.
We invite you to look around this website where you will find detailed overviews of both Saraswati and Lakshmi, as well as an executive overview, a history and a development roadmap. Although both products are still under development, an open-source, JEE-based version of Lakshmi – currently in production at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology – is available at this time. If you are considering using Lakshmi in a project of your own, please don’t hesitate to contact us for consulting services.
Project Shaktipat is being developed by a number of partners at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) including John Brush, Prof. Thomas Gross and Dr. Matteo Corti as well as Prof. Oliver Augenstein at the University of Applied Sciences (HSR) in Rapperswil, Switzerland.
